I think that I actually had the most fun in Burgundy. First of all, the weather was FINALLY decent every day. Secondly, the Orangerie chambre d'hote where we stayed was simply lovely. Third, we had an amazing dinner at Aux Annees Vins--fois gras, escargot, the works. And last but now least (oh sweet serendipity) the Tour de France was passing less than 5 kilometers away from where we were staying.
